Configuration Checker

  1. Select a backup ZIP file (containing mfd.htm file) or select a standalone mfd.htm file.
  2. Run the configuration check.
  3. Review the results. Please be informed that the ECDIS Configuration Checker does not verify custom NMEA, VDR, BNWAS, or Conning configurations, as their settings may vary and be unique to each vessel.
  4. The objective is to achieve zero FAILED results. However, this cannot always be fully accomplished, as the ECDIS Configuration Checker cannot validate all possible vessel-specific configurations. Therefore, for every FAILED result that cannot be resolved, please add a comment explaining the reason. The comment will be included in the generated report and reviewed by Wärtsilä Support.
    Please note that WARNING results are provided for informational purposes only, as guidance for the engineer's review. They are not considered validation failures.
  5. After checking the final configuration file, select Download Report, enter your first and last name, and download the report.
  6. Send the downloaded report and final configuration file to Wärtsilä Support using the relevant case number.
